Clara County and local governments provide funding for
approximately 35% of the children who qualify for Healthy
Kids insurance To cover the remaining 65% of eligible
children, we rely on the financial commitment of corporations,
foundations and individuals from the community. We appreciate
the generous support of our sponsors, and do not share
their names and private information with external organizations.
Gifts in support of Healthy Kids may be tax-deductible.

Adopt-A-School
Program
Healthy children have a lower rate of absenteeism and
perform better in the classroom. One giving option is
to sponsor an entire school of qualified Healthy Kids.
The number of Healthy Kids and amount needed to sponsor
each school varies with school size and potential enrollment.
There are over 300 schools in Santa Clara County, each
with children whose families qualify for Healthy Kids.

Corporate
Financial Support
The Santa Clara Family Health Foundation, which raises
all Healthy Kids premiums, is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt
entity. All contributions are tax deductible. Out staff
will provide a letter of recognition with our tax ID
number upon receipt of funds. Please contact Kathleen King,
executive director at kking@scfhp.com
or (408) 874-1998 for more information.
Employer
Matching
Many
employers will match funds contributed to charity, so
that every dollar you give counts as two. Your company
may already be a sponsor of Healthy Kids. If you or
your company is interested in a corporate match program,
please contact the Foundation's executive director,
Kathleen King at kking@scfhp.com
or (408) 874-1998.
Gift
Tributes
Gift tributes are a rewarding way to celebrate friend,
family, and associate birthdays, retirements, and other
special events. Tell us who you’re honoring, and
we’ll send the person an acknowledgement of your
gift tribute.
The
Hardship Fund
Although each child’s share of the monthly Healthy
Kids premium is low, families occasionally experience
exceptional need and ask for assistance in making the
monthly premium payment. Healthy Kids donors may choose
to contribute specifically to this hardship fund.
Monthly
Premium Assistance
To provide Healthy Kids coverage, Santa Clara Family Health Foundation pays premiums of $75.67 per child per month, or $908.04 per child per year. Donors can help by sponsoring any part of this premium cost.
- Contribute $75.67 each month for a year.
- Sponsor a child for one month with a donation of $75.67.
- Sponsor a child for a year with a donation of $908.04.
- Donate what you can on a monthy or one-time basis to offset part of the premium cost.
Outreach
and Education
Do you want to learn more? Do you belong to an organization
that wants to get involved? Our first-of-its-kind program
began as a grass roots effort right here in Santa Clara
County and we continue to rely on community support.
Our outreach staff will come to your facility and speak
to your members about our unique program to insure all
the county's children. We need your help to spread the
word. To schedule speakers please contact our foundation
coordinator, Emily Hennessy
at ehennessy@scfhp.com.
Planned
Giving
Many donors incorporate their charitable donations into
a comprehensive financial strategy designed to maximize
the benefits both to the donor and to the recipient
charitable organization. We want your donation to fit
into your long-term goals and dreams. We look forward
to working with you and your financial specialist to
design a planned giving strategy that meets your needs
and supports our worthy cause.
